XL8 has been selected for the Tourism Plus Tech Bridge program organized by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO). Through this initiative, the company is enhancing its proven EventCAT platform widely used in MICE and educational settings, into EventCAT Tourism Guide, an AI-powered interpretation solution specifically designed for tourism experiences.

EventCAT Tourism Guide: Breaking Down Language Barriers

XL8 is launching EventCAT Tourism Guide, a multilingual tourism interpretation platform powered by AI Speech Recognition (STT), Machine Translation (MT), and Text-to-Speech (TTS) technologies.

Even if a docent or tour guide speaks a different language from the visitor, tourists can simply scan a QR code and instantly access live subtitles and AI-generated audio in their preferred language, without downloading an app or creating an account.

To deliver higher-quality translations for tourism content, the platform also incorporates a dedicated Glossary that accurately translates specialized terms such as artifact names, historical figures, landmarks, and local place names, providing greater contextual accuracy than general-purpose translation services.

Proven in MICE, Now Expanding to Tourism

Being selected for the Tourism Plus Tech Bridge program marks an important milestone in extending XL8's AI interpretation technology beyond conferences and exhibitions into a wider range of tourism environments.

EventCAT Tourism Guide is designed for applications including:
