Introductions delivered in Korean were instantly conveyed through real-time AI interpretation and Japanese subtitles. Attendees watched live demonstrations to see firsthand how EventCAT operates not only in virtual meeting environments like Zoom, Google Meet, and MS Teams, but also in large-scale conference settings.
Inquiries were particularly high from professionals in content production and broadcasting who require multilingual subtitles. Although it was a brief itinerary, it served as a solid and successful milestone for breaking into the Japanese startup ecosystem.
SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026 – Large-Scale Operations Across 8 Stages, Presenting the Japanese Prime Minister's Address
The largest stage of the first half of the year was undeniably "SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026", held from April 27 to 29 at Tokyo Big Sight. As Asia’s premier global innovation conference, it brought together startups, investors, major corporations, and city leaders from around the world, drawing approximately 1,000 experts over the course of three days.
At this event, EventCAT provided live AI subtitling across all eight stages, including the main stage. A particularly iconic moment occurred on the Innovation Stage, which featured addresses by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike. Having a head-of-state level speech delivered in real time to global participants via EventCAT’s subtitles—without mistranslations or latency—was both a validation of translation quality and proof that EventCAT operates reliably at large-scale international events.
Attendees followed the subtitles via large screens and stage-side LED TVs, or scanned QR codes with their smartphones to view and listen to the subtitles in their preferred language on the spot. Throughout the sessions, which ran continuously from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM every day, multilingual communication flowed seamlessly without the need for dedicated interpretation booths or human interpreters. Visitors to the booth were enthusiastic about the speed and accuracy of the captions. Because it required covering eight stages simultaneously, this event served as a major validation of EventCAT’s large-scale operational capabilities. Just a month after taking its first steps with a booth demo at a startup expo, the technology proved its capability on a stage featuring world leaders.
ASTEEDA Executive Salon 2026 – Japanese Executive Networking at Nozawa Onsen, Nagano
From June 11 to 13, the stage shifted to Nozawa Onsen in Nagano Prefecture. At "ASTEEDA Executive Salon 2026"—one of Japan’s largest conferences and business matching events connecting executives and entrepreneurs from across the country—EventCAT provided real-time multilingual subtitles for panel discussions and sessions covering diverse topics such as management, recruitment, sales, and regional revitalization.
Notably, as this event was actively open to South Korean companies through an official Korean partner, conversations naturally flowed back and forth between Korean and Japanese. Even within the relaxed, cozy atmosphere of a hot spring village, high-density networking took place among the executives. EventCAT played a vital role in capturing the flow of these conversations through live subtitling, ensuring no valuable insights were lost due to language barriers. IVS Kyoto 2026 – Rejoining the Global Startup Stage in Kyoto, Proving Product Maturity via Live Demos
From July 1 to 3, "IVS Kyoto 2026", Japan's largest global startup conference, took place over three days in Kyoto, Japan. The final step of the first half of the year brings us to the "U-KNOCK 2026 in Japan Summit," which is currently taking place in Tokyo from July 7 to 9. This three-day business summit connects 15 Korean content companies with Japanese investors, media outlets, and partner firms. While attendance is free, the discussions taking place are highly substantial.
